PARTYCUP

Minute to Win It

Setup Instructions:

  1. Gather Materials: Collect all items needed for each game (cups, straws, ping pong balls, etc.). Ensure you have enough for multiple players.

  2. Create a Game Space: Set up a designated area where games will be played. Ensure there’s enough room for movement and that the area is safe for activities.

  3. Timer: Have a visible timer (or use a smartphone) to track the one-minute countdown for each game.

  4. Scoreboard: Prepare a scoreboard to keep track of points for each participant or team.

  5. Define Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries for where each game will take place, and keep this area free of obstructions.

  6. Music and Atmosphere: Set up fun, upbeat music to keep the energy high. Consider adding some party lights for extra fun.

  7. Host Role: The host should be familiar with all games, explain rules clearly, keep time, and ensure a fair and safe environment.

Game Rules:

  1. Time Limit: Each challenge must be completed within one minute. If the player fails, they don't earn points.

  2. One Attempt Per Challenge: Players only get one chance to complete each challenge unless the host decides otherwise for specific games.

  3. No Cheating: Participants must follow the rules for each game strictly. Cheating results in disqualification from that round.

  4. Scoring: Points are awarded based on the completion of tasks. The host can decide if some tasks are worth more points.

  5. Consent and Comfort: All players must consent to the games and their challenges. If anyone is uncomfortable, they can opt out without penalty.

Variations on Playing:

  1. Team Play: Divide players into teams. Teams take turns attempting challenges, and the team with the most points at the end wins.

  2. Head-to-Head: Two players go head-to-head in each game. The first to complete the task within the time limit wins.

  3. Wildcard Challenges: Introduce surprise challenges at random points in the game to keep things spontaneous and unpredictable.

  4. Spin the Dare: After completing a challenge, players spin a wheel to receive a mild dare, adding an extra layer of fun.

Tips to the Host:

  1. Know Your Audience: Make sure all participants are comfortable with the level of risqué challenges. Adjust if needed.

  2. Keep the Energy High: Keep the games moving quickly to maintain excitement. Encourage cheering and friendly banter.

  3. Offer Breaks: Allow for quick breaks to ensure players aren’t overwhelmed, especially if some challenges are physically demanding.

  4. Be Flexible: Be prepared to adapt games if a challenge proves too difficult or makes participants uncomfortable.

  5. Prizes: Consider offering small prizes or bragging rights for winners to keep the competitive spirit alive.
